1. Keep it Handy!
Place the items you use most closer to your dominant hand when organizing. Eliminating unneeded stretching.
2. Purge! Purge! Purge!
A cluttered desk is a cluttered mind, get rid of any unnecessary papers or old office supplies that you can throw away.
3. Don’t get too sticky with sticky notes!
Sticky-notes are great for reminders, but don’t go overboard! Only highlight the most important reminders with a note and keep them to a minimum.
4. Add Some Color!
Color-code documents and projects based on importance to make your daily to-do list easier.
5. Clean as You Go!
Don’t let the clutter pile up, clean as you go. Put away and throw out any unnecessary items at the end of each day.
6. Don’t Forget Your Digital Mess!
Clutter doesn’t just live on your physical desk, it can live on your computer desktop too. Organize your desktop with folders and delete old files when possible.
7. Wipe it Down!
After organizing, break out the cleaning supplies and wipe down your work area to keep it sparkling clean and get rid of any germs.
8. Throw it Away!
Get a garbage can for underneath your desk to make it easier to remove clutter throughout the day.
